Bendigo Ballooning is a registered commercial hot air ballooning business offering joy rides to individuals, and aerial and charter services to business organizations. The work includes corporate advertising, film and television production work, corporate leadership training, and pilot tuition.

Bendigo Ballooning is wholly owned by Goldrush Ballooning Pty. Ltd., a company registered in Victoria, and owned by Ian Hogben, and Alan and Jan Ramsay. With 6 balloons in its fleet, the company also owns the business names Ballooning Bendigo, Goldfields Ballooning, Grampians Ballooning and Pyrenees Ballooning. In South Australia, it trades as Adelaide Ballooning.

Apart from current monthly debts for items such as fuel, telephone, advertising and insurance, the company has no debt other than to its own shareholders and to holders of unused gift vouchers. It is also proud to say that it does not have a bank overdraft, and pays its bills within 7 days of receipt.

		Ian Hogben is chief pilot for the company. He is also an instructor with considerable commercial experience in Victoria and South Australia, holds a balloon maintenance authority issued by Australia's Civil Aviation Safety Authority, and is the operations manager for the Australian Ballooning Federation Incorporated, responsible for the safe conduct of private ballooning in Australia. Like Alan Ramsay, he is one of the few balloonists in Australia to hold a night rating.
		Alan Ramsay has more than 16 years experience as a balloonist, has flown many different balloons in a lot of different areas and flying conditions, and is equally comfortable flying over built-up areas and farmland. Like Ian Hogben, he is one of the few balloonists in Australia to hold a night rating. Al is a keen sport and competition pilot, and is a former committee member of the Australian Ballooning Federation Incorporated.
